Lemon Myrtle is the highest natural source of citral, the compound that gives lemons and lemongrass their distinctive scent. The dried leaf of the Lemon Myrtle has a free radical scavenging ability and makes a wonderfully therapeutic tonic as it has germicidal powers and has been used as an antiseptic antiviral, calmative, sedative and corrective.
