Frangipani & Lilli Pilli Candle
  • Frangipani & Lilli Pilli Candle

Welcome to a journey through the fragrant wonders of the Australian landscape with our Frangipani and Lilli Pilli Candle, a celebration of the vibrant flora and rich cultural heritage of the land down under. As an Aboriginal creator, I've infused this candle with the essence of my heritage, drawing on the wisdom of my ancestors and the beauty of the natural world to create a scent that's as enchanting as it is uplifting.

This native Australian fruit is not only delicious to eat but also boasts medicinal properties. Rich in antioxidants and vitamin C, lilli pilli has been traditionally used by Aboriginal peoples for its health benefits. Additionally, its unique tart flavor makes it a popular ingredient in jams, sauces, desserts, and beverages, adding a distinctively Australian twist to culinary creations.

Now, let's talk about the fragrance notes that make this candle truly special. At the heart of this tropical blend are the sweet and intoxicating scents of frangipanis and lilli pillis, like a floral symphony that dances on the breeze. These top notes evoke the beauty and tranquility of the Australian landscape, inviting you to immerse yourself in its splendor.

But it's the base note of musk that adds a touch of depth and warmth to the mix, like the gentle embrace of the earth itself. Together, these fragrance notes create a harmonious blend that's as soothing as a walk through a rainforest and as invigorating as a dip in a crystal-clear creek.

So light up our Frangipani and Lilli Pilli Candle and let its fragrance transport you to a world of beauty, wonder, and connection. It's more than just a candle—it's a tribute to the richness of Aboriginal culture and the timeless beauty of the Australian landscape.

    • A great candle experience begins with proper candle care and maintenance. Here are some important burning tips for enjoying your Little Black Duck candle:

      1. Preventing memory rings.

Believe it or not, candles have a memory and the very first time you burn your new candle is the most important. Ensure you burn your candle long enough to completely melt the entire top surface of your candle. If the wax is not allowed to liquefy or to melt from edge to edge of the container, it will create a “memory ring,”. Once a candle has this “memory ring,” it will continue to tunnel and to burn that way for the life of the candle. And no one wants that!

      2. Trim your wick.

Before lighting, always trim the wick to 6mm and remove any wick debris as this encourages an even burn.

      3. Be safe.

Always burn your candle on a heat resistant surface, keep it out of drafts and NEVER leave it unattended while lit. Always burn candles well away from other heat sources, and anything flammable. Make sure burning candles are out of reach of children and pets.

      4. Goodbye is the hardest word.

KNOW WHEN TO SAY GOODBYE. When only 1/2" of wax remains, it's time to let your candle go. Discontinue use of a candle when ½” of wax remains at the bottom of the jar. This will prevent possible heat damage to the counter/surface or container itself. The glass can get hot on the bottom as the flame nears the base of the jar and most of the wax has been consumed. By following this instruction, the glass will not get too hot.

      5. Know your limit.

Candles should not be burned for more than four hours at a time. It is recommended that after burning for four hours, candles be extinguished, allowed to cool for two hours, and trimmed before relighting.

    •  As most candles are poured to order, allow a production time of minimum 1 week. This excludes delivery. Sometimes my shelves are fully stocked and i can grab and pack your candle a little more quickly, but to be safe, allow the 1 week minimum.
