Golden Wattle Candle
  • Golden Wattle Candle

Get ready to bask in the golden glow of our Golden Wattle Candle, a fragrant tribute to Australia's national floral emblem and the beauty of the land down under. As an Aboriginal creator, this candle is not just a scent—it's a celebration of my cultural heritage and the vibrant spirit of the bush.

Did you know that the Golden Wattle, with its sweet-smelling flower heads, blooms in early September, signaling the arrival of spring and filling the air with its delightful fragrance? It's just one of the many wonders of Australia's native flora that inspired this enchanting scent.

At the top of this aromatic journey, let the invigorating notes of fir needle and eucalyptus transport you to a sun-dappled forest, where the air is alive with the scent of fresh pine and the promise of adventure. These top notes evoke the crispness of a morning bushwalk, awakening your senses and inviting you to explore.

As you venture deeper into the heart of the fragrance, you'll encounter the spicy warmth of jasmine and petitgrain, like a secret oasis hidden deep within the bush. These middle notes add depth and complexity to the scent, weaving a tapestry of intrigue and allure that captures the essence of the Australian landscape.

But it's the base notes of red rose and amber that truly anchor this fragrance. Like the warmth of a campfire on a cool evening, these notes create a sense of comfort and connection, inviting you to gather around and share stories with loved ones under the starlit sky.

So light our Golden Wattle Candle and let its fragrance fill your home with the beauty and magic of the Australian bush. It's more than just a candle—it's a journey of discovery, a celebration of heritage, and a reminder to cherish the natural wonders that surround us each day.

    • A great candle experience begins with proper candle care and maintenance. Here are some important burning tips for enjoying your Little Black Duck candle:

      1. Preventing memory rings.

Believe it or not, candles have a memory and the very first time you burn your new candle is the most important. Ensure you burn your candle long enough to completely melt the entire top surface of your candle. If the wax is not allowed to liquefy or to melt from edge to edge of the container, it will create a “memory ring,”. Once a candle has this “memory ring,” it will continue to tunnel and to burn that way for the life of the candle. And no one wants that!

      2. Trim your wick.

Before lighting, always trim the wick to 6mm and remove any wick debris as this encourages an even burn.

      3. Be safe.

Always burn your candle on a heat resistant surface, keep it out of drafts and NEVER leave it unattended while lit. Always burn candles well away from other heat sources, and anything flammable. Make sure burning candles are out of reach of children and pets.

      4. Goodbye is the hardest word.

KNOW WHEN TO SAY GOODBYE. When only 1/2" of wax remains, it's time to let your candle go. Discontinue use of a candle when ½” of wax remains at the bottom of the jar. This will prevent possible heat damage to the counter/surface or container itself. The glass can get hot on the bottom as the flame nears the base of the jar and most of the wax has been consumed. By following this instruction, the glass will not get too hot.

      5. Know your limit.

Candles should not be burned for more than four hours at a time. It is recommended that after burning for four hours, candles be extinguished, allowed to cool for two hours, and trimmed before relighting.

    •  As most candles are poured to order, allow a production time of minimum 1 week. This excludes delivery. Sometimes my shelves are fully stocked and i can grab and pack your candle a little more quickly, but to be safe, allow the 1 week minimum.
