Kakadu Plum & Waterlily Candle
  • Kakadu Plum & Waterlily Candle

Get ready to immerse yourself in the essence of the Australian wilderness with our Kakadu Plum and Waterlily Candle—an exhilarating blend that'll transport you to the heart of the outback with just one sniff! As an Aboriginal creator, I've drawn inspiration from the appreciation of our land and culture to bring you a scent experience like no other.

Let's kick things off with a fun fact about Kakadu Plum, known as the superfood of the bush. Did you know that this native Australian fruit boasts the highest natural concentration of vitamin C of any fruit in the world? It's true! And now, you can experience its invigorating aroma firsthand as it mingles with aquatic notes, finger lime, and thyme to create a scent sensation that's as refreshing as a dip in a crystal-clear billabong.

But hold onto your Akubra, because it's the middle notes of waterlily, lime blossom, peony, clove leaf, and lavender that'll really make your senses sing! Picture yourself floating on a tranquil lily pond, surrounded by the delicate fragrance of native blooms and the gentle rustle of the breeze through the leaves.

And just when you think it can't get any better, the base notes of golden molasses, driftwood, and musk come in to seal the deal. Like the sturdy roots of an ancient gum tree, these base notes ground the fragrance and add a touch of earthy warmth to the mix.

So light up our Kakadu Plum and Waterlily Candle, kick back, and let the scent of the Australian wilderness wash over you like a warm breeze. It's more than just a candle—it's a journey of discovery, connection, and pure joy.

    • A great candle experience begins with proper candle care and maintenance. Here are some important burning tips for enjoying your Little Black Duck candle:

      1. Preventing memory rings.

Believe it or not, candles have a memory and the very first time you burn your new candle is the most important. Ensure you burn your candle long enough to completely melt the entire top surface of your candle. If the wax is not allowed to liquefy or to melt from edge to edge of the container, it will create a “memory ring,”. Once a candle has this “memory ring,” it will continue to tunnel and to burn that way for the life of the candle. And no one wants that!

      2. Trim your wick.

Before lighting, always trim the wick to 6mm and remove any wick debris as this encourages an even burn.

      3. Be safe.

Always burn your candle on a heat resistant surface, keep it out of drafts and NEVER leave it unattended while lit. Always burn candles well away from other heat sources, and anything flammable. Make sure burning candles are out of reach of children and pets.

      4. Goodbye is the hardest word.

KNOW WHEN TO SAY GOODBYE. When only 1/2" of wax remains, it's time to let your candle go. Discontinue use of a candle when ½” of wax remains at the bottom of the jar. This will prevent possible heat damage to the counter/surface or container itself. The glass can get hot on the bottom as the flame nears the base of the jar and most of the wax has been consumed. By following this instruction, the glass will not get too hot.

      5. Know your limit.

Candles should not be burned for more than four hours at a time. It is recommended that after burning for four hours, candles be extinguished, allowed to cool for two hours, and trimmed before relighting.

    •  As most candles are poured to order, allow a production time of minimum 1 week. This excludes delivery. Sometimes my shelves are fully stocked and i can grab and pack your candle a little more quickly, but to be safe, allow the 1 week minimum.
