December Book of the Month | Too Much Lip | Melissa Lucashenko

"...you cry for him too bub, our mob gotta learn to cry when we're sober, might stop us killin each other"

Our December book for the Garrandarang Book Club was SOOO good. Melissa Lucashenko kicked it outta the park with this one and generated lots of deep and meaningful conversations around intergenerational trauma, sneaky real estate agents, the meaning of family and coming home and so much more!

This book also discusses key themes such as interracial dating, same-sex relationships, family dynamics and more.

We used the discussion points mentioned at the start of the book.

STUDIO OPENING HOURS

The Little Black Duck studio is located in Uranquinty, NSW on Wiradjuri Country approximately 12 minutes from Wagga Wagga. Being a functional creative studio means it is not open to customers at all times. If you would like to arrange a time to visit the studio and shop the shelves, please get in touch via email at ash@littleblackduckaus.com.

I pay my respects to the traditional custodians of the land where Little Black Duck is based, the Wiradjuri nation. Their resilience and tenacity is an inspiration for all upcoming generations in leading the way.

Always Was. Always Will Be.
