The Drover's Wife | Leah Purcell | Book of the Month | July 2020

Um. WOW! Leah kicked it out of the park with this one! What a page turner!

The Drover's Wife is Leah's take on the old story by Henry Lawson. Following the harrowing life of Molly Johnson as she braves life while her husband is away droving (and his unfortunate returns).

The Drover's Wife is a book about strength and resilience, a matriarch's struggle, the power of love and the beauty of culture being passed down.

A must read! 10/10 from the Garrandarang Book Club.

STUDIO OPENING HOURS

The Little Black Duck studio is located in Uranquinty, NSW on Wiradjuri Country approximately 12 minutes from Wagga Wagga. Being a functional creative studio means it is not open to customers at all times. If you would like to arrange a time to visit the studio and shop the shelves, please get in touch via email at ash@littleblackduckaus.com.

I pay my respects to the traditional custodians of the land where Little Black Duck is based, the Wiradjuri nation. Their resilience and tenacity is an inspiration for all upcoming generations in leading the way.

Always Was. Always Will Be.
